We design and manufacture a range of commercial vehicle conversions, including HGV trailers, HGV and van conversions. We have a wide variety of clients in the transport and logistics sector including ASDA, Royal Mail and TNT to name a few. Following a fantastic start to our 2012, 2013 and 2014 apprentice programme intake where we now have over 100 apprentices, we are interested in any additional candidates who are looking to commence on an Apprenticeship Scheme and train towards a Level 2 NVQ Qualification in Engineering.
If you are interested or know someone who would like to gain further information in this opportunity of a career in engineering and manufacturing, please contact Julie Holden on firstname.lastname@example.org
Together with our education provider, Cartwright has developed a 2-year apprenticeship programme leading to a Level 2 Engineering Apprenticeship. On successful completion of Level 2 and subject to interest and aptitude there will be opportunity for some to continue to Level 3 and ultimately HND level.
This is the start of a long-term career opportunity where you will gain the experience of building our products from scratch. You will learn the whole build process, working in all the major manufacturing stages before you select an area to specialise. You will be supported throughout your training by working alongside skilled employees. Our Production Managers and Supervisors will coordinate the programme. They all have extensive experience in engineering and manufacturing and many commenced their working career as a Cartwright Apprentice.
Working within the Cartwright production process you will work 2-3 months at each of the major manufacturing stages: Fabrication, Chassis Building, Chassis assembly, Body building, Finishing and Test
Following the rotation through departments, you will be able to specialise within one area and develop your skills further.
As part of the apprenticeship you will go to college on day release where you will receive workshop training to assist you with achieving the required standards for the Level 2 apprenticeship.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain a qualification with long term prospects while being paid a salary. Learning how to work in a business through day-to-day practical work combined with college workshop training.
Cartwright is employing people who are looking to commit to a career in engineering and manufacturing and who want to develop their practical skills to obtain a qualification and future career. If these criteria describe you, please do get in touch:
