You can apply for an Apprenticeship in the usual way through our vacancies page. Alternatively, we attend local schools, colleges and host open days to share our award winning scheme with both students and parents.
This is the start of a long-term career opportunity where you will gain the experience of building our products from scratch. You will learn the whole build process, working in all the major manufacturing stages before you select an area to specialise in. You will be supported throughout your training by working alongside skilled employees. Our Production Managers and Supervisors will coordinate the programme and they all have extensive experience in engineering and manufacturing, with many commencing their working career as a Cartwright Apprentice.
Working through our production process you will work 2-3 months at each of the major manufacturing stages including fabrication, chassis building, chassis assembly, body building, finishing and testing. Following your rotation through the departments, you will be able to specialise within one area and develop your skills further.
As part of the apprenticeship you will go to college on day / block release where you will receive workshop training to assist you with achieving the required standards for the Level 2 apprenticeship. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a qualification with long term prospects while being paid a salary (above the current minimum wage for Apprentices!). Learning how to work in a business through day-to-day practical work combined with college workshop training.
