Ground Level Demount
Cartwright ground level demount system. Fast, easy, clean operation. Body lowers completely to floor for loading at ground level. Body automatically locks to vehicle with hydraulic cross locks. Ideal for drawbar applications. Find out more by clicking through the links below.
Ground Level Demount Benefits
Cartwright Type 20 demount system enables the body to lower to ground level when demounted from the vehicle. This means the body can be loaded easily and quickly without the need for a loading dock.

1. Park Chassis and Apply Handbrake

2. Connect battery cable to the plug situated on the body.3. Connect the wander lead to the socket on the body.

4. With the cable attached correctly. Use the wander lead to move the leg rams to there outer most position.

5. Making sure there are no obstructions in the way, proceed to lower the leg rams until either: The chassis has enough clearance to drive away, or the rams use their entire stroke.

6. Disconnect the cables and drive the chassis to a clear distance, all the time ensuring the cables can be connected in order to lower the body.

7. Connect the battery cable and the wander lead.8. Lower the body ensuring there is enough clearance from the back of the chassis to the body and there are no obstructions in the way.

9. Operate rams to fully draw leg rams back into the sides of the body.10. When all rams are fully withdrawn, disconnect cables and the body can be left.
