OUR POLICIES ON SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern day slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-Slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

INTRODUCTION

The Cartwright Group is committed to driving out acts of modern day and human trafficking slavery from within its own business and from within its supply chains. The Company acknowledges responsibility to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will ensure transparency within the organisation and with suppliers of goods and services to the Organisation.

OUR ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE

We are one of the UK's leading commercial vehicle body and trailer manufacturers. A privately owned family business, we operate from a 38 acre site in Altrincham, Cheshire as well as locations across the country. The Cartwright Group has over 700 employees. The Group has an annual turnover of £123 million.

Since 1952, we have applied the same philosophy as we do today, to continue to work closely with our customers, providing a quality product and service to meet their requirements. Our innovative approach, coupled with the ability to manufacture a one off or in high volume, is a key strength.

Our supply chains include various suppliers of Goods and Service both in the UK and overseas.

DUE DILIGENCE PROCESS FOR SLAVERY & HUMAN TRAFFICKING

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we have in place systems to:

  •          Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  •          Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.
  •          Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  •          Protect whistle blowers.

Supplier adherence to our values We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values we have in place a supply chain compliance programme.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our Group's slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31st March 2017.
