Investment in the in-house paint facility has been the next step in Cartwright’s promise to deliver the best quality product for our customers. The main objectives for the renewal were: to improve surface-treatment quality, to improve production efficiency and to improve safety for our workers, and with the equipment in use now since May of this year, it has already demonstrated its benefits.
One of the advantages of the new facility are the low bake ovens which are specifically designed to provide a dust-free environment by the removal of excess paint through advanced filtration; which is environmentally friendly and clean. This also has the added benefit of the final product having a smooth polished finish, which offsets the fading and chipping that can occur with traditional respraying.
To make quality of work more efficient and safe for our employees, Cartwright has also equipped the new facility with WALL-MAN working platforms which can be adjusted to any height or position for work on high-sided vehicles.
Paintshop Manager Ian Teal, said of the new facility; “The company’s investment in a new paint facility is demonstrative of its continued growth and commitment to uphold excellence and efficiency in key sectors of the business. Conventional painting simply cannot compete with the advantages of modern paint products and new painting methods that we are seeing in manufacturing today”.
