Stanley & Alan Cartwright opened their first workshop in Wythenshawe, Manchester, building high quality and strong timber framed vehicle coach and body work.

The first Cartwright body shop was set up by Stanley Cartwright.

This was the beginning of things to come as the reputation spread for the building of high quality and strong body work.

Increased demand for Cartwright bodywork required investment in a second body shop.

A third body shop and paint line were added to cater for increased production.
